Leaders across America support an ambitious NDC

On April 22, 2021, the Biden Administration released an NDC of 50-52% emissions reductions from 2005 levels by 2030 to get the nation on track to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Leaders from America Is All In released a statement in response, supporting an ambitious climate target.

In December 2020, over 1,800 U.S. institutions signed a statement calling for a national climate target that is “ambitious and equitable” and takes community and institutional efforts and perspectives into consideration. In February 2021, America Is All In launched with a call to at least halve U.S. emissions. In April 2021, businesses, universities, hospitals, scientists, activists, and others declared their support for an ambitious NDC.

Achieving emissions reductions target of 50-52% by 2030 requires an all-of-society approach. It can create good jobs-paying for Americans support a healthy future for communities that have borne the brunt of environmental and economic harms from fossil fuel pollution and climate change.
