America Is All In coalition members are invited to a town hall discussion with Ethan Zindler, Climate Counselor to U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and Bella Tonkonogy, Senior Advisor in the Treasury Climate Hub. This session offers a unique opportunity for mayors, state officials, corporate partners, university leaders, healthcare officials, and nonprofit partners to engage directly with federal representatives. Participants will discuss the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), challenges in accessing financing and tax benefits, and insights into how the IRA benefits environmental justice communities. This is a crucial chance to collaborate and advance climate action across sectors, including discussions on IRA implementation, hurdles faced, and missed opportunities for accessing funding and tax incentives.

Owens is leading the decarbonization and renewable energy deployment of DOD facilities and buildings. The discussion will in particular highlight the DOD's work on energy security, building resilience in local defense communities, the approach to clean energy on installations, and how DOD is working to support service members and families through improved quality housing.. The focus will be on holding US DOD as a model for other countries; emphasizing the importance of this work with mission; and highlighting collaboration across sectors.
