Join the Center for Global Sustainability (CGS) at the University of Maryland to discover how leadership and action from all sectors and levels of society are critical to implementing an ambitious 2035 NDC (Nationally Determined Contribution). Leveraging an all-of-society approach to climate action - rooted in fundamental action from federal and non-federal actors- is critical to keeping a 1.5-degree pathway within reach. Cities, states, businesses, and other parts of U.S. society have consistently been climate leaders and innovators, and as the United States prepares to set its new 2035 climate goal, new CGS research shows that they remain key in reaching an ambitious new NDC and can deliver significant reductions in the absence of strong climate leadership.
