Tribal Nations

BACKGROUND:
Tribal Nations are committed to advancing climate action and environmental justice for Indigenous people across the country and beyond. Tribes and other native groups recognize the critical role that Indigenous knowledge and leadership play in addressing the climate crisis and promoting sustainability, and work to support communities in developing and implementing climate mitigation and adaptation strategies that respect their values. This includes supporting the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, as well as promoting sustainable land use practices and the protection of natural resources.
