BACKGROUND:

American cities & counties form a bipartisan, peer-to-peer network to mobilize hundreds of U.S. mayors and county leaders from almost every state to provide climate leadership through decisive policy choices in their communities. Cities and counties are setting climate targets and taking a host of actions including switching to renewable energy for local generation, putting more public transportation into service, and signing onto statements calling for more federal climate action.
