Faith based organizations from around the U.S. are committed to addressing the climate crisis from a moral and spiritual perspective. These institutions recognize that protecting the planet and promoting sustainability are fundamental moral responsibilities of all people, and that people of faith can play a critical role in driving climate action and promoting ethical social change. Faith leaders work to mobilize faith-based organizations and leaders to advocate for climate policies and initiatives that align with their values and beliefs. This includes promoting sustainable personal choices and practices within their own communities, as well as advocating for policies that support renewable energy, conservation, and environmental justice. Faith based climate leaders are  also committed to recognizing the ways in which environmental racism is a special American sin that needs to be addressed.
