Washington, D.C., August 11, 2025 – Today, America Is All In Co-Chairs California Governor Gavin Newsom, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Cleveland Mayor Justin M. Bibb, and Gina McCarthy, the first White House National Climate Advisor and former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator, issued the following joint statement in response to the EPA terminating the Solar for All contracts:

“The EPA has turned its back, once again, on working families. The key to affordability is a clean energy future. By tearing away this funding, EPA will make it even harder for 900,000 households already struggling with high energy costs to pay for their electricity bills. As energy demand rises, we need more affordable, reliable, and clean energy quickly. The loss of Solar for All and this Administration’s needless war on clean energy will stall job creation, prolong the use of dirty energy, increase energy costs for families across the country, and do nothing to improve grid reliability.

We will not let this Administration take us backwards - local leaders from cities, states, businesses, and institutions will keep working with one another to invest in clean energy solutions reducing toxic pollution in our air, lowering bills for working people, and bringing good-paying jobs to our communities.”
