Gov. Jay Inslee

Starting the NEST Climate Campus' Main Stage sessions, All In Co-Chair and Washington State Governor Jay Inslee joined Marcene Mitchell, the Senior Vice President of Climate Change at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF-US), to discuss what it takes to deliver climate action, the benefits of clean energy policies being felt in Washington State, and the future of climate leadership.

Gina McCarthy

Managing Co-Chair Gina McCarthy joined All In Ceres' President and CEO Mindy Lubber on the Main Stage. In their conversation, they discussed the climate action needed from the private sector to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and how companies and investors are maximizing federal funding opportunities to achieve U.S. climate goals.

Lisa Jackson

In an evening conversation between All In Co-Chair Lisa Jackson, Vice President of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives at Apple, and Carter Roberts, President and CEO of the World Wildlife Fund, the two discussed the power of the private sector’s community engagement for impactful climate action and how nature-based solutions are a key part of Apple’s work.

America Is All In Networking

Kicking off a full day of All In programming, members and partners came together for networking and breakfast. Opening speakers spoke on the importance of subnational climate action across all sectors of society:

Marcene Mitchell, World Wildlife Fund

Marcene Mitchell, Senior Vice President of Climate Change, shared an overview of All In's programming throughout the day and the importance of subnational action in the United States.

Administrator Rick Spinrad, Ph.D., NOAA

NOAA Administrator Dr. Spinrad shared how critical engagement with cities and states is to building a more climate resilient nation and celebrated NOAA's new memorandum of understanding with All In Coalition Partner Climate Mayors.

Antha Williams, Bloomberg Philanthropies

Antha Williams, Environment Program Lead, reflected on how All In has transformed into a 'harbinger of hope' in support of climate action in cities, states, schools, Tribal nations, and other climate leaders throughout the nation.

All In Expert Hub

During the All In Expert Hub, attendees joined small-group workshops on climate finance, community benefits, and more. These experts answered questions on how to maximize funding opportunities for climate and clean energy projects.

Panel Discussions

Managing Co-Chair Gina McCarthy led U.S. climate leaders in a discussion about the economic, health, and equity benefits that come with climate and clean energy projects. These climate leaders included:

  • Dr. Robert Bullard, All In Leaders Circle member and Executive Director of the Bullard Center for Environmental & Climate Justice
  • Mayor Justin M. Bibb, City of Cleveland, Ohio
  • Emily Schapira, CEO of the Philadelphia Energy Authority

All In Coalition Partner the Center for Global Sustainability at the University of Maryland released it's new report on how the United States can achieve substantial emissions reductions by 2035 with Interim Director Dr. Ryna Cui

The report launch was followed by a conversation between: 

  • Mayor Caroline Simmons (City of Stamford, Connecticut) 
  • Peter Templeton (President and CEO, U.S. Green Building Council)
  • All In's Program Director Elizabeth Lien.

WWF-US's SVP of Climate Change Marcene Mitchell moderated a discussion between subnational climate leaders from around the world, including:

  • Wang Shi, Founder of the Vanke Group
  • Sergio Shigeo Kato, Co-Representative of the Japan Climate Initiative
  • Secretary Ana Luiza Ferreira, Secretary of Environment for the State of Pernambuco, Brazil 

They shared their own experiences and strategies on what it takes to lead and build a subnational climate movement in their respective countries.
